Heritage Education Chair Sherrie Leach gave presentations to the NISD 4th grade classes on Jane Long, known as the Mother of Texas in May 2015.

Mrs. Jetton discusses how East Texas Native Americans made their tools, houses,and clothing as the students viewed the museum's display.

Kathy Knighton, NCHC Volunteer, showed the students the different items Newton County settlers brought with them in their wagons.
